RustAndThings is really about the hunt.
I’ve always enjoyed finding unusual, interesting, useful, and sometimes just plain cool things that deserve another home. Some days that means collectibles or vintage pieces. Other days it might be records, tools, toys, books, old advertising, automotive items, or something I never expected to find when I left the house that morning.
That’s part of the fun. You never really know what will turn up next.
I try to keep the store personal, straightforward, and easy to deal with. I’m not trying to build some giant corporate-looking business. I’d rather have a place where people can browse, find something interesting, and come back later because they know the inventory is always changing.
RustAndThings is veteran owned and operated, and that is something I’m proud of. You’ll see a small Airborne reference in the store branding as a nod to that part of my life.
I’ll also be using Stories From the Hunt to share some of the things I come across, interesting finds, collecting stories, and what is happening behind the scenes.
